What it did well
- The framing and lighting drew us into the action, this is as the character takes up our soul focus. We from an attachment to her as she is trying to decide what to do. This is effective as we want to see the conclusion of her decision
- narration the non-diegetic sound connects us with her, we are given a special insight into her thoughts. This allows us to understand the significance of her switching from a normal coffee to decaf.
- Her being distracted and spilling the coffee gave her the perfect opportunity to order a different one. This was a clever narrative device, as she was encouraged by circumstances to do what she wanted
